Join us at the first BarCamp ever in Melaka, Malaysia!

# What is Barcamp?

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event. Generally, BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences (open, participatory workshop-events), whose content is provided by participants.

Participants who want to share ideas and knowledge in any subject or field registers for time and room to host their session. Malaysia have seen several other BarCamps so far, namely in Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Penang.

Topics typically discussed at BarCamp are wide ranging and open. It can be about technology related topics such as early-stage web applications, open source technologies, social protocols and open data formats to public transit, health care, and management theory.
